A MAN has been charged after a woman was raped following a night out in which she believes her drink was spiked.

Police received a call on Monday, September 27 from a woman who believed at some time during a night out in Stalybridge town centre two days previously on Saturday, September 25, her drink had been spiked and she had been raped.

Detectives have now charged Dale Garlick, 29, of Calico Crescent, Stalybridge, who has been remanded into custody and will appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court today, Wednesday, accused of the rape of a female aged over 16.
