FORMER Newcastle United footballer Kieron Dyer is currently is hospital undergoing tests.
The midfielder, who also starred for England, is currently working as Ipswich Town U-23 manager and the club confirmed the news on its website.
A statement from Ipswich said: "The club can confirm that Town U23 manager Kieron Dyer is currently undertaking tests in hospital.
"Everyone at Ipswich Town Football Club sends their best wishes to Kieron at this time.
"We ask everyone to respect Kieron's privacy, and we will be making no further comment on the matter."
The 42-year-old joined Newcastle in 1999 and made 190 league appearances over an eight year period.
He joined Middlesbrough in 2013, playing nine games, before retiring.
Dyer recently took part in Channel 4 programme Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins but had to withdraw after he suffered a collapsed lung.
