A FURTHER 122 coronavirus cases have been found in Oldham, figures have revealed.
Data released this afternoon, Wednesday, also showed there were 762 new cases found in the borough in the seven days up to October 22.
The rate per 100,000 people in Oldham who produced a positive test up to that date was 320.7, much lower than the UK average of 481.5.
The statistics also found that there were a further 207 deaths recorded in which people tested positive for Covid-19 in the previous 28 days.
NHS England figures show that there 1,735 deaths which have been linked to coronavirus in the area formerly covered by Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which managed the Royal Oldham Hospital before it was dissolved earlier this month.
The hospital is now under the control of Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust but the coronavirus figures are in the process of being transferred.
