A man has died after being seriously injured at a vigil on November 19 in Delph.

Police confirmed today that the 52-year-old man died in hospital on Friday, November 26.

Officers are not looking for anyone in connection with the incident and the investigation is ongoing.

Police were called just before 9pm on November 19 to a report that a man had been injured by a firework during a vigil on Huddersfield Road, at the junction with Sandbed Lane next to Delph and Dobcross Cricket Club.
