These Oldham animals are searching for a forever home ARE you looking to add a new animal to the family?

The Oldham Times has got in touch with the team at Pennine Pen Animal Rescue who have said these animals need of a forever home.

Pennine Pen only re-home locally in Oldham and surrounding areas up to an hour away and existing pets must be neutered.

To show interest in a pet at Pennine Pen message the organisation’s Facebook page.

Here is the lowdown on the animals that need rehoming.

Bobby

The Oldham Times:

Bobby,6, is looking for his forever home after recently arriving at Pennine Pen.

The crossbreed is described by the Pennine Pen team as a “lovely” and “sensitive boy”.

Bobby previously lived with another dog so with successful introductions could live another dog again but not cats or small furry animals.

The team at Pennine Pen has however warned that he would not cope well with a bouncy young dog and would prefer a chilled-out pal.

In his new home Bobby will need someone around most of the day until he settles in and will need to get used to being left gradually.

He would also be better suited to a home with older or no children.

Bobby has walked well on the lead while at Pennine Pen and has not been reactive towards other dogs or people but shows an interest in cats and squirrels.

Tom

The Oldham Times:

Tom,9, arrived at Pennine Pen after his previous owner became terminally ill.

He is described as a “handsome fella” and “chilled out boy” by the team at Pennine Pen.

Tom has claimed the hammock on the scratch post in his room which he loves.

In his previous home Tom enjoyed spending time outside so he will need outdoor access away from busy road in his new home.

Tom has not been around children so would prefer a quieter home with older or no children and could live a cat with careful introductions.

Indie

The Oldham Times:

Indie,5, arrived at Pennine Pen as her owner could no longer care for her.

She is described by the team at Pennine Pen as an “outgoing cat” who loves to explore.

She also loves a stroke but can be a little sassy and would prefer a home with older, sensible children.

Indie would also prefer to be the only pet in the household.

Mischa

The Oldham Times:

Mischa,5, also arrived at Pennine Pen as her owner could no longer care for her.

She is described by the team at Pennine Pen as a “shy girl” who will let you stroke her but will take a while to come out of her shell in a new home.

Mischa would prefer a quiet home with no young children.

She has lived with a cat in a previous home and could possibly be homed with a calm cat.
