A DRUG driving arrest has been made after a vehicle which was allegedly speeding was stopped in the borough last night, Thursday.
PC Battye from the Waterhead Neighbourhood Team reported seeing a vehicle being driven over the limit on Delph New Road and was ordered to pull over.
A drugs test reportedly found that the driver tested positive for cannabis.
An arrest was then made on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle while over the specified limit.
A police spokesman added: "Remember do not take drugs and drive.
"Drinking or using drugs can slow your reaction time, affect your judgment and co-ordination, blur your vision, make it difficult to see the colours of traffic signs or interfere with your ability to track moving objects with your eyes."
