A MILLION-POUND property put on the market a week ago is now Oldham's most expensive on Rightmove.

The house on Thorncliffe Park, to the north of Royton and next to Tandle Hill Country Park, was posted on the property site on January 20 for an asking price of £1,095,000.

This means it is around £400,000 more than the next most expensive house in Oldham, which is in Chadderton.

Built in the 'New England' style started in the United States, it has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, plus a living room, a kitchen and even a cinema room with its own bar.

The master bedroom has a balcony and a walk-in wardrobe, and all of the interior is done in a plush, luxurious manner.

According to the ad on Rightmove, the property was extended and renovated a little more than five years ago.

The ad reads: "A short distance from Tandle Hill Country Park and less than five miles from the motorway, a well-presented and unique five-bedroom 'New England' style house with a luxurious interior and superb panoramic views.

"The property is situated in a very private position at the head of this small and attractive lane in an elevated position."

Outside the house is a sizeable, sloped garden which overlooks the property's surroundings. There is also terrace which boasts a fitted BBQ and a hot tub.

For security, the house has an electric gate with an intercom on its driveway. This opens up to a double garage, which is set up with a significant amount of storage and a workbench.
