AN Oldham charity has filled an ambulance with supplies ahead of its journey to Poland to support refugees fleeing the conflict in Ukraine.

The appeal was launched by the Team Hill Charitable Trust, set up by Oldham fundraiser and deputy head of St Joseph’s RC Primary School, Steve Hill.

A post on the Team Hill Charitable Trust Facebook page reads: “A huge thankyou once again to everyone who has continued to donate items towards Team Hill Charitable Trust’s Ukraine Appeal - including the wonderful children and parents at school who have been bringing in bags of items each day for the past two weeks.

“We have been overwhelmed by people’s generosity in donating such a huge amount of supplies all of which have been collected by John Paul Gilmour tonight and will be transported in his ‘Life Line Ambulance’ to Poland in the next few weeks to help those put in such a terrible situation in Ukraine.”
