Two Royton pubs have picked up awards.

The Halfway House and The Puckersley Inn have both scooped awards at this year’s JW Lees Pub of the Year Awards ceremony.

The Halfway House won three awards: Hero of Lockdown, Regional Pub of the Year, and Pub of the Year 2022.

Speaking to The Oldham Times, pub manager Vikki Caira, and pub landlord Vinnie Caira thanked their team.

Vikki said: “Thank you to the great team that we have at the Halfway House – it’s a team effort.”

Landlord Vinnie said: “The place was quite rundown when we took over, so over the course of a three-year period we’ve increased trading – it’s so busy these days, it’s incredible.
