Oldham’s motorists have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
However, it's not all bad news as despite the closures, drivers should expect only slight delays of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A663, from 8 am May 16 to 4 pm July 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 southbound, lane closures - From Royton Elk Mill Roundabout to junction of Burnley Lane for OMBC works.
• A663, from 9.30 am June 20 to 3.30 pm August 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A663 A627M from J A669 to J B6189 - lane one closure due to works on the footway on behalf of United Utilities.
And another two closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M62, from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm on July 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 22 - Lane closure for Electrical works.
• M62, from 8 pm July 6 to 5 am July 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M62 eastbound, junction 21 - 22 - Lane closure for Structure - new/reconstruction.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
