Police stopped an Audi in Oldham to find five children inside without a seatbelt.
GMP Traffic shared the news of the incident in a post on social media.
According to the post, an inspector from GMP's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) stopped the car to find seven occupants, of which five were children without a seatbelt.
One of the other occupants, the children's mother, proceeded to provide false information.
But the inspector was not fooled and the woman was summonsed to court for multiple offences, the post explained.
It reads: "RPU inspector stopped this vehicle in Oldham. [There were] seven occupants with five children not wearing a seatbelt.
"Mother gave false details throughout, but didn’t out-fox the officer.
"Summonsed to court for multiple offences #fatal5 #tellingporkies."
