An investigation has been launched by Greater Manchester Police into a ‘disturbance’ on Oxford Street in Oldham.
Police were called to a ‘disturbance’ on Oxford Street at around 6.25pm yesterday (August 3).
A 24-year-old man was detained at the scene and officers have confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A video surfaced on social media yesterday evening showing multiple police vehicles at the scene.
In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: “We were initially called to a disturbance on Oxford Street, Oldham at around 6.25pm on Wednesday, August 3.
“A 24-year-old man was detained at the scene at the time and the investigation is still ongoing”.
Anyone with information is urged to ring 101 quoting incident 2721 of August 3,2022.
