Disruption is expected from next week on the Rochdale Canal in Failsworth as contractors will be removing a tree.
Both the towpath and navigation will remain open, but those using the canal may be asked to wait to allow contractors to operate safely.
The works will take place from 8am on Wednesday, September 21 until 5pm on Friday, September 23.
Disruption is expected between Flash Street Footbridge and Bridge 81, Droylsden Road Bridge.
The tree is located within the wash wall on the offside of the canal – this means it is on the opposite side of the canal to the towpath.
