An Audi driver has been banned from getting behind the wheel of a car after he was found to be drink driving in the borough.
Kevin George, of Kingston Avenue, Chadderton, was driving an Audi A4 on Horsedge Street on August 13, 2021.
He was found to have 112 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeding the legal driving limit of 80 milligrammes per 100 millilitres.
George, 34, pleaded guilty to the offence on November 26, 2021, and was sentenced at Tameside Magistrates' Court on Friday, September 23.
He has been disqualified from holding a driving licence for 12 months, although this ban can be reduced by three months if he completes a course by April 22, 2023.
George was also made to pay a fine of £120, a victim surcharge of £34 and court costs of £400, bringing his total costs to £554.
