A fire which began at a derelict building in Oldham on Thursday (September 29) evening is still being dealt with as of Friday morning.
The fire broke out at a building on Roundthorn Road at around 7pm yesterday and four fire engines from different stations were called to deal with the blaze.
As of 11am on Friday, fire crews were still in attendance while an investigation team is present.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "At around 7pm on Thursday 29 September, firefighters were called out to a fire at a derelict building on Roundthorn Road, Oldham.
"Four fire engines from Blackley, Oldham, Chadderton and Salford – along with a turntable ladder from Manchester Central – attended the scene.
"Crews used two breathing apparatus, two hose reels, a hose reel jet and lighting equipment to extinguish the fire.
"Crews remain in attendance, supporting fire investigation."
