Oldham’s Olivia Cooke has spoken out about a scene in which her feet play a starring role.
Olivia, 28, who plays Alicent Hightower in the series House of the Dragon recently opened up in an interview with Variety about an episode which sees her character remove her shoes for the pleasure of another character, Larys Strong.
Speaking to Variety, Olivia who trained at the Oldham Theatre Workshop, said: "It is wild, because there are beheadings, people getting their c**ks cut off, graphic violence and brothel scenes, but getting my feet out and him w**king off, that's the most shocking.
"It's funny, isn't it? I knew on the day, I didn't want this to be gratuitous at all because I know my feet will end up on various sites. It's wild how you can’t predict which scenes people have the biggest reactions to, and unfortunately it was that one."
Olivia was born in Oldham and educated at Royton and Crompton Academy and Oldham Sixth Form College. She has also starred in the TV shows Slow Horses, Bates Motel, and Vanity Fair, and the films Ready Player One and Sound of Metal.
House of Dragon is set as a prequel to the popular HBO series Game of Thrones, which is based on George R.R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ book series.
Digital Spy has reported that a second season has been confirmed.
