A yellow warning for snow and ice has been put in place for Oldham this weekend.

According to the Met Office, temperatures are expected to plummet this weekend with snow on the way for most of Saturday and Sunday.

Tomorrow, (Friday, December 16), will see temperatures average at around 0C, though there will be patches of sun.

However, the temperature will dip to -1C from 5pm onwards.

Oldham can expect some snowfall and sleet on Saturday from around 9am until 3pm with temperatures between 0C to 2C.

The snow may turn to rain by the late afternoon with a slight rise in temperature to 3C.

But Sunday is when the yellow warning kicks in for the borough with snowy conditions expected from 9am onwards.

However, the temperature will turn in the evening to highs of 8C by 6pm and make way for a much warmer Monday.

While Monday will see temperatures as high as 12C, the Met Office predicts it will rain.
