An Oldham restaurant has issued an appeal to track down a pair who allegedly rushed off before settling their bill on the weekend.

The Smoke Yard situated on Church Terrace calls itself Oldham's "only American smokehouse", serving steaks, burgers and chicken.

The restaurant claimed to have two-walk outs on Sunday, December 18, where two people allegedly failed to pay their bill before leaving.

In a post on social media, Smoke Yard slammed a man and a woman for rushing off at the end of their meal and has issued a public appeal to help trace their whereabouts.

The post read: "Does anybody recognise these two people who visited us yesterday evening (Sunday) and left in a hurry without paying the bill?

"Please message us if you do."

The restaurant posted CCTV footage of the accused offenders in its appeal.

The man has a trimmed beard and was seen wearing a fedora-type hat, dark trousers and a button-up shirt.

Meanwhile, the woman has long dark hair and was seen wearing a beige sparkly top and a black bucket hat.

Smoke Yard has been approached for comment on the incident.

It remains unclear if Greater Manchester Police have been called.
