A four-week-old kitten has arrived at the RSPCA in Oldham.

The male ginger cat, who is too young to be adopted yet, has been named Simba by the centre.

The cat was brought to the centre, located on Holgate Street, by a member of the public on Thursday, January 12.

On Facebook, the Oldham RSPCA branch shared a link to an Amazon wishlist for items that can be bought to donate to the centre.

A spokesperson for RSPCA Bury, Oldham & District said: “The kitten was brought into the Animal Centre from a member of public, who claimed they found him on his own in the Oldham area. We believe him to be around four/five weeks old.

“One of our experienced foster carers came to the rescue, taking him home to provide him with round the clock care he requires.

“He has now been named ‘Simba’ and he is doing really well. Once old enough he will receive his vaccinations and any other veterinary care he needs before going up for adoption.”

Those wishing to adopt a pet can find more information on the RSPCA website.
