A popular pub in Chadderton has two new landlords at the helm and kicked off its fresh start with a lively launch night.

On Saturday, February 11 the new landlord and landlady, Shaun and Vickie, welcomed regulars back into the Spring Vale Inn pub on Burnely Street to celebrate its new ownership.

The opening night saw DJ Chris Brown, known as Browny, play some classic favourite songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

The live stream of the pub showed the event was a roaring success with a generous turnout of people packed on every table.

In a post on social media, Shaun and Vickie said: "What a night last night was.

"It was busy from start to finish.

"Thank you to everyone who came. We had a fantastic night.

"Thank you also to Browny for a great time."

The pair also introduced themselves to regulars and added: "We'd like to say thank you to everyone for all the support over the last two days. It's been brilliant and we are looking forward to many more days like this."

The Chadderton pub was once under the ownership of Donna, who announced earlier this year that she was handing over the keys to Shaun and Vickie.

On February 6, Donna wrote: "I would just like to thank all the regulars that stuck by us all the way through our journey.

"Thank you to all the staff, DJ's and singers we've had on - you've been a pleasure.

"Now over to Shaun as we know he'll be a great landlord and we know you will still show him all your support."

The pub opens from 11am every day and has live entertainment scheduled throughout the week, including DJ sets, karaoke nights and quiz nights.

It is also dog friendly, has a pool table and a handful of TVs where sports are displayed.
