A cheque for £1,400 was presented by Saddleworth Musical Society to the Plast Ukrainian Youth Organisation Scouts.
The event took place at Uppermill Methodist Centre on Thursday, February 16 where the society hold their weekly choir rehearsal.
The society raised the money from collections made at their annual Christmas concert in December at Uppermill Civic Hall, and generous donations from members.
Danylo Wilczynski, spokesman for the organisation was accompanied by four other members, said the money would buy valuable sleeping bags to weather extreme cold temperatures for those without homes due to the current conflict in the Ukraine.
