All the candidates in the local elections are confirmed after a list was released by Oldham Council.

All 60 seats across all 20 wards in the borough are up for election when the polls open next month.

Currently the Labour Group is in overall control of the council with 35 seats, although it lost five seats last year, including the one belonging to its leader at the time Arooj Shah.

Others aim to take another chunk out of this majority and take the authority into no overall control.
