Police have appealed to the public for information after a man was found dead in Oldham.

Edward Woolley, aged 65, died at his home on Wednesday, April 5 in circumstances which are not thought to be suspicious.

Greater Manchester Police is now appealing to the public for information that could help trace the man’s family.

The death is understood to be separate to one reported by The Oldham Times on Tuesday, which occurred in the Chadderton area.

On Facebook, GMP said: “GMP are tracing the family of a man from the #Oldham area.

“Edward Woolley (65) sadly passed away at his home address on Wednesday 5 April 2023.

“There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. “
