A suspected Oldham rogue trader accused of targeting vulnerable elderly people in Shaw and Chadderton has been arrested on suspicion of fraud.

It comes after police received reports of a rogue tradesman offering to clean gutters for money upfront.

Police say that on some occasions the man did not return to carry out the service.

The homes targeted were in the Shaw and Chadderton areas, although police say there could be other victims spanning across other areas of Oldham.

A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of fraud yesterday.
