A man has been arrested and more than 400 cannabis plants have been seized during a raid at a property in Rochdale.

Officer stormed the address on Rooley Moor Road in an early morning warrant today (Monday) following weeks intelligence-gathering within the community.

A total of 475 suspected cannabis plants were discovered at the property across two floors.

Remnants of suspected further grows were also found, including various paraphernalia, power packs, and other growing materials.

One man, aged 28, has been arrested under suspicion of cultivation of Class B drugs and abstracting electricity.

Enquiries are currently ongoing.

PC Giblin, from Greater Manchester Police's (GMP) Rochdale neighbourhood team, said: "We are committed to acting on intelligence when we get it, and we take any reports we receive very seriously.

“This was a great result for our neighbourhood team, and I hope this morning's warrant shows that we are determined to keep the streets of Rochdale safe."
