The Oldham Summer Music Festival is returning to the town centre this weekend.

A range of musicians from bands, including rock and brass bands as well as choirs, and orchestras, will be performing from 10am to 7pm at the free festival on Saturday.

There will be more than 50 performances throughout the day across two stages and at the Lyceum.

Visitors can expect a variety of tunes from Oldham Music Centre bands with performers ranging from the centre's youngest musicians aged seven years old, to some of the more experienced members of the community ensembles.

Oldham Music Centre is open to new members and the Music Centre office is open Monday to Friday, from 9am until 4pm.
