An Oldham man has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs following raids across Greater Manchester.

Dorrell Golden is among eight people charged with drug offences part of Greater Manchester Police's Operation Display.

A crackdown on Thursday saw GMP carry out 18 warrants across Oldham, Salford and Gorton under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

No further action was taken against a ninth person who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Golden, 20, of Windsor Avenue, Chadderton, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Liam Harmon, 19, of Littleton Road, Salford; Grant Ball, 41, of Partington Lane, Swinton; and Daniel Odunayo, 22, of Petunia Walk, Little Hulton were all charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

Odunayo was additionally charged with money laundering.

They were all remanded into custody to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on July 21.

Three 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy were also charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

The teenagers were remanded into custody to appear at youth court.

Detective Inspector Rebecca McGuigan, of GMP's Salford Challenger organised crime team, said: “These results are testament to the hard work of our dedicated officers.

“Their efforts have resulted in us taking a significant amount of class A drugs off the streets.

“Let this be a warning to any criminals operating across Greater Manchester – we are coming for you and will continue to rid our streets of drugs.”

The arrests were part of Operation Display, a joint covert investigation conducted by the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit and Salford’s Challenger team. 

It comes following an investigation into the alleged large-scale county lines drugs supply operating across Salford.
