Pictures of nine men have been shared by police in connection with a pitch invasion that saw a goalkeeper pushed during an Oldham Athletic vs Chesterfield match this summer.

Derbyshire Constabulary is appealing for information on the men pictured after a fight reportedly broke out during a pitch invasion when Latics visited Chesterfield, on Saturday, August 19.

Fans rushed the pitch in celebration after the Latics equalised in the 96th minute of the game, which finished 1-1, while one man is alleged to have pushed Chesterfield goalkeeper Harry Tyler and "reports of fighting between a small number of spectators inside the ground".

The force issued the following statement: “Officers investigating a pitch invasion and disorder at the Chesterfield FC v Oldham Athletic match in August have issued more images of people they would like to trace in connection with the incident.

“The game, which took place on Saturday 19 August at the SMH Group Stadium, saw reports of fighting between a small number of spectators inside the ground, a pitch incursion and a goalkeeper being pushed.

“We are continuing to work with officers at Greater Manchester Police as part of the investigation.”

Anyone with information that could assist with the police’s investigation is urged to contact the police on 101, quoting log 23*523339 and the number on the image above.

Alternatively, the independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
