To mark Remembrance Sunday next weekend, there will once again be a number of services taking place in Oldham on the day.

The Oldham Times has compiled a list of all the services being held around the borough next Sunday (November 12) to commemorate all those who lost their lives in the two world wars as well as many other conflicts.

There will also be a service on Monday (November 6) at St Chad's Memorial in Uppermill taking place at 7pm.

The services will be held by Oldham Council in conjunction with branches of the Royal British Legion, residents, uniformed services and representatives of all organisations.

Representatives of all organisations, uniformed services and the public are cordially invited to attend any of the services and the council says an opportunity will be given to those who desire to place wreaths on the memorials.
