Poppy tributes and flags have been been put up in three parks and a cemetery in tribute to the fallen ahead of Remembrance Day.
The decorations are part of an initiative led by Royton councillors Dave Arnott and Lewis Quigg.
They are at Tandle Hill Country Park, Dogford Park, Royton Park and Royton Cemetery, with the poppies and flags representing the Royal Navy, Army, and Air Force at each entrance.
Dave Arnott, councillor for Royton North, said: “We received very positive feedback from Royton residents last year, so we had no hesitation in repeating the process at Tandle Hill Country Park, Dogford Park, Royton Park and Royton Cemetery”.
Councillor Quigg said: “There is no cost to the council, or to The Royal British Legion. Councillor Arnott and I fund this initiative privately."
November 11, traditionally Remembrance Day, will fall on Saturday this year.
