Police are appealing for assistance from the public to trace the next of kin of a man who died at Royal Oldham Hospital.
Martin Shaw died at the hospital on Rochdale Road this month.
Appealing for information about Mr Shaw in a post on social media, the police said the 45-year-old is thought to have a brother in London.
In UK law, there is no definition of next of kin, but it is understood to be the closest relative, whether a partner, parent, child or sibling.
Anyone with information about the next of kin of Mr Shaw is asked to contact the Police Coroner's Office in Rochdale on 0161 856 8095.
