UPDATE: Greater Manchester Police have since confirmed the Coroner's Officer was contacted and Mr Braithwaite's family have been informed.

A search has been launched to trace a man's family who may be in Barbados after he died in Oldham this week.

Henderson Braithwaite died at his home address at Welford House in the Glodwick area of Oldham on Monday, November 20.

The 64-year-old originates from Barbados.

It is believed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Local authorities are now searching for Mr Braithwaite's family.

Greater Manchester Police has issued an appeal to the public to help trace his next of kin.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Police Coroner's Office on 0161 856 8095.
