A woman from Saddleworth has shared some amazing images she captured of aurora borealis in Oldham.
Sarah Lewis, a photographer and social media manager, took the spectacular images on Friday, December 1, which show the phenomenon commonly known as the Northern Lights above the borough.
The pictures taken by Sarah, show pink, yellow and light green colours lighting up the night sky, creating a dazzling spectacle.

The Met Office explains that it takes an extreme geomagnetic storm for the lights to usually be seen over the skies in the UK.
To see the lights, it must be a clear sky with no cloud cover, and no light pollution.
Aurora Watch UK predicts when the Northern Lights will next be seen in areas across the UK.
