A popular mattress and bed shop has announced it is opening a new store in Oldham - and will open on Boxing Day with discounts and deals.

Bensons for Beds has revealed it is moving into Elk Mill Retail Park in Oldham this Christmas into a large 16,000 square feet unit.

The Accrington-based retailer already has several stores across Greater Manchester, including Ashton-under-Lyne, Bury, Stockport and Trafford, but is now opening its first Oldham store.

The new shop opens on Boxing Day, December 26, and promises to bring opening discounts to "support locals at a time when value for money matters".

Shoppers visiting Bensons for Beds during its opening week will be able to take advantage of several deals and offers.

The shop itself has been designed to display its hefty portfolio of brands which "cater to every sleep need" and the majority of its beds and mattresses have been produced in-house at its own manufacturing centre in Cambridgeshire.

The portfolio also includes Slumberland, which has been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to crafting a "superior night's sleep" for more than 100 years in the UK.

Slumberland is its most awarded brand and is the proud owner of Good Housekeeping Institute endorsements for its flip, duo, naturals and new air mattresses.

Meanwhile, the Simply by Bensons range was designed to give consumers a great night's sleep from only 15p per sleep.

The affordable range features mattresses, divans and bed frames, all with free five-year guarantees.

Bensons also launched a new and exclusive range of beds and mattresses under its heritage Staples & Co brand which has been re-inventing sleep since 1895.

These ranges are designed to give customers a wide choice of comfort, storage and style features, with more than 28,000 potential combinations.

Exclusively at Bensons, customers can also browse iGel Advance mattresses with patented Graphene Technology which helps sleepers regulate their temperature to stay comfortable throughout the night.

Luxury mattresses from Hypnos, Tempur and Siletnight are also available.

Bensons’ Oldham manager, Adam Riley said: “As a northern business we are really excited about extending our presence outside central Manchester and can’t wait to open our doors after Christmas.

“Whether you’re a hot sleeper, an all-night mover or like that little bit of extra room we have a wide selection of beds and mattresses to suit everyone’s individual sleep needs, and my team will be dedicated to giving our customers everything they need to wake up on the right side of the bed."
