Oldham: Hour-by-hour snow forecast as weather warning issued

Yesterday (January 5), the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning put in place for the majority of the north of England, including the entirety of Greater Manchester.

The warning comes into play for 24 hours from 6am on Thursday, but the borough is set to be hit three hours later and will last until as late as 12pm the following day.

In its forecast for the North West from Thursday to Saturday, the Met Office said: "Turning unsettled again to end the week with blustery winds. Uncertain arrival of some snow on Thursday, potentially disruptive in places, then outbreaks of rain lingering into Friday and Saturday."
