A woman suffered a head injury after she was hit by a car in Chadderton yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Broadway in Chadderton at around 2.20pm on Tuesday (February 20) following reports of a car crash involving a pedestrian.

Video footage captured by a member of the public during the incident shows a person lying on the floor in the road, near the crossing from the Best One convenience shop on Moston Lane East.

Passers-by and emergency service workers could be seen attending to the woman.

Several police cars and an ambulance were also on the scene.

The North West Ambulance Service confirmed a woman was hit by a car and was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering a head injury.

Greater Manchester Police also confirmed officers were called out to reports of a car crash.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for NWAS said: "We were called at 14:18 yesterday to reports of a person knocked over by a car on Broadway in New Moston.

"The patient involved was female and looks like she had a head injury.

"We sent an ambulance to the scene and took the patient to North Manchester General Hospital."
