An Oldham laundrette which suffered a major fire last month has issued an update four weeks after the incident.

Trend Launderette & Dry Cleaners, on Rochdale Road in Shaw, suffered the blaze after 8pm on the evening of January 25, which took fire crews more than three hours to put out.

Now, the laundrette, which has been closed since the fire, has issued an update, saying it "cannot move anything or do anything" while it waits for the investigation into the fire to take place.

A sign posted outside the property on Rochdale Road reads: "Following the fire of 25th January, 2024 we are still waiting for the fire investigator appointed by the insurance company.

"In the meantime we cannot move anything or do anything. We will update when we know how things are progressing. Thank you."
