Oldhamers can expect a mix of sun, rain and cloud this bank holiday weekend as the weather forecast has been revealed.

Many will be looking forward to celebrating a long weekend this Easter as the bank holiday kicks off tomorrow on Good Friday through to Easter Monday.

However, whether you're planning on tackling a beer garden, venturing on an Easter walk in an Oldham beauty spot, going on an egg hunt or celebrating 134 years of 'cheese and pickle day' in Oldham, your plans could all change depending on the weather.

Fortunately, the results are now in from the Met Office - so here's what is forecast for the borough.

Good Friday (March 29)

The Met Office predicts Friday will be cloudy with some sunny intervals by late morning.

With highs of 10 degrees, there could be some light showers between 3pm and 6pm.

However, the rain is expected to clear by Friday night.

Saturday (March 30)

By Saturday, most of the morning will be dry if not a little overcast by cloud until around midday.

It will reach a high of 11 degrees, though forecasters predict there will be some light showers around lunchtime (12pm) which will disappear by 3pm.

However, the rain could be back again for a brief period at 6pm - though again only light showers.

The rain will clear away by evening, making way for a dry and clear night.

Sunday, (March 31)

Sunday will be the warmest of the whole weekend, with a high of 12 degrees.

It's also due to be sunny in the morning until turning to cloud at around 10am - but at least no signs of showers.

Easter Monday, (April 1)

The last day of the long bank holiday weekend is also predicted to be dry, but slightly cooler at 10 degrees and cloudy.
