A fish and chip shop in Oldham says it was targeted by a pair of 'vandals' earlier this week.

Heyside Fish and Chip Cafe on Heyside, Royton, has released CCTV footage of the moment two men 'vandalise' the front of the shop at approximately 9.56pm on Monday (March 25).

The pair appear to target the chippy using spray bottles.

The surveillance footage shows one man, who is wearing camouflage cargo trousers, first approached the fish and chip shop to write or draw on the shop front using a white spray can.

The vandal is also seen wearing a hat.

Seconds later in the video a second man can be seen emerging wearing a "distinctive black and white jacket" with his hood up and a large backpack.

He takes the spray bottle from his accomplice to write or draw another symbol elsewhere on the shop front.

He then takes a step as though to walk away before adding something else to the drawing.

However, it remains unclear from the footage what was sprayed onto the chippy and the extent of the damage caused.

Bosses at the cafe are now appealing to residents and members of the public for help in finding the two "lads".

In a description, they say the men both have "longish hair" and were carrying "big bags".

Heyside Chippy has been contacted for comment.
