Plans have been submitted to turn a former cafe which closed due to financial difficulties into a one-bedroom flat.

Dome Cafe in Greenfield town centre opened in September 2022 on Kinders Lane and served a range of food including breakfast, brunch and dinner items.

In February, the cafe announced it was closing due to financial difficulties, less than 18 months after opening its doors.

Now, a proposal has been submitted to convert the ground floor space into a dwelling.

Floor plans show how the shop front and seating area would be converted into the living room and bedroom respectively.

The cafe's kitchen would become the dwelling's kitchen, while the unit would also have a study and bathroom.

According to a supporting document submitted as part of the plans, the building was originally designed with the plans to change the use into a dwelling in mind.

The document also states that internal studding and doors would be installed to split the rooms.

It is not thought that any external alterations would be made to the building.
