Here are the schools which are currently oversubscribed for September 2024.

Christ Church CofE Primary School on Delph Road has the highest percentage with 14 pupils (16.47 per cent) over capacity this academic term.

The school has enrolled 99 pupils but has 85 spaces.

Last term, the primary had 12 pupils over capacity and another 12 in 2021.

Corpus Christi RC Primary School on Edward Street in Chadderton is also 9.64 per cent over capacity this year, with 307 pupils enrolled compared to its capacity of 280.

The primary similarly struggled last term as it oversubscribed to another 27 pupils.

Meanwhile, St Paul's CofE Primary School on Hindle Drive, Royton, comes in third place on the Oldham list with 11 pupils (5.24 per cent) over its capacity of 210 spaces.

In the previous academic year, the primary breached its capacity by 10 pupils and another nine in 2021.

The data suggests demand for these school spaces has been on the rise in the last three years.
