The following planning applications relate to some of the biggest development stories in Oldham over the past fortnight.
New flats above former furniture shop
Five new one-bedroom flats are set to be developed above a retail space on a main road in Oldham.
The apartments will be created on the first and second floors of a property on Huddersfield Road, above the former Furniture Kings shop.
The three bedrooms on the first floor will have a bedroom, kitchen, living area and bathroom, while the two bedrooms on the floor above will have the same amenities plus a study room.
House could become children's home
Plans have been submitted for a property to be converted into a new children's home in Oldham.
The detached three-bedroom house on Neild Street, Hathershaw, is made up of two-storeys and has a garden.

According to a planning statement, the children's home would offer quality living for two children at a time, along with a member of staff who would stay at the accommodation.
The statement adds that the change of the property's use would not "impact the existing character and appearance of the existing residential area".
New takeaway coming to town centre
A proposal for a new takeaway restaurant in Oldham town centre has been given the green light.
The ground floor of an empty retail unit on King Street will be developed into a takeaway, although the type of food to be served is still unknown.
The takeaway will be open into the early hours of the morning each day, with operating hours set to be between the hours of 9am to 1am between Sunday and Thursday but can stay open until 2am between Thursday and Saturday.
