Burnley bandstand 1989
This photo from 1989 shows a familiar landmark in Burnley town centre which has subsequently found a new home.
The bandstand was situated close to McDonald’s and was a popular meeting spot for teenagers.
In 2016, it was announced that the bandstand would be moving to Memorial Park in Padiham. It needed a new home before a £3million regeneration scheme began around the St James Street area.
The Keirby Hotel is in the background of this photo.
