More than five acres of land has gone up for sale in Oldham for just £1.
Despite new initiatives being brought in by the government, with first time buyers' only needing a five per cent deposit in some cases, landing a mortgage still feels unachievable for a large proportion of society.
However, this plot on Tunstead Lane, in Greenfield, could be the answer to those problems - as residents could land it for less than a Tesco meal deal.
Listed on Rightmove by Shaw estate agency Cornerstone Estates & Lettings, it consists of two fields.
The listing read: "This land is split over two fields and has never had planning permission applied for, although period stone built residencies are in close proximity.
"Both plots have access via farm gates. One is currently used for grazing, small income, whilst the other has a timber built girl guide hut which has water supply and is on a solid foundation.
"Offers invited, deadline for offers with proof of funding by 1st May 2024."
It continued: "Discover the untapped potential of Saddleworth where picturesque landscapes meet promising investment opportunities.
"With it's charming rural setting and proximity to urban amenities, investing in land here offers a lucrative investment for growth and development."
The first is 2.6 acres of land and has road access on two sides, a nearby Tunstead cottage and other stone built residences.
While the second, has a girl guide hut located on it, on solid foundation, and is complete with water supply.
With Girl Guide hut on solid foundation and complete with water supply.
The listing added: "This site has been used for camping and overlooks 'pots and pans' monument. Accessed via a non serviced lane."
