Residents in Oldham are vying for a £100 award in a gardening contest.
The 'Budding Neighbourhoods' competition by the housing association, First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO), encourages the community to showcase their gardening skills.
The competition began on August 5 and will conclude on August 23, 2024, at 5pm.
Participants are asked to share photographs of their gardening efforts on FCHO's website.
The competition has three categories - 'A Brew and My View', 'My Garden Harvest', and 'Garden Genius'.
The top prize is a £100 Love2Shop voucher, while second and third-place winners receive £50 and £25, respectively.
Emma Cafferky, Stronger Communities manager at FCHO said: "We’re really excited that our much-loved Budding Neighbourhoods competition is coming back once again for 2024.
"The competition recognises and celebrates our customers who make an effort to keep their homes and gardens looking lovely."
She added: "On the whole, we’ve had a relatively wet summer so far, which isn’t great for us as humans but for our plants and gardens, it’s magnificent.
"We’re looking forward to seeing what beautiful spaces are entered this year."
Residents who require support with digital submissions are encouraged to reach out to FCHO's Stronger Communities team.
Post-competition, winners will be contacted and their winning photographs will be shared on FCHO's website and social media platforms.
