A man from Oldham has been jailed after taking part in "despicable scenes" in Southport following the fatal stabbings of three young girls in July.
Gavin Pinder was one of three men to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday (August 30) after pleading guilty to violent disorder.
Gavin Pinder, 47, of Lord Lane, Oldham, was sentenced to two years and four months in prison.
Sentenced alongside Pinder, 47, was Jonathan Duerden, of The Crescent, Colne, and Joseph Buckley, of Hatton Hill Road, Litherland.
Duerden, 31, and Buckley, 44, were sentenced to two years and one year and four months in prison respectively.
Violent disorder took place in Southport after the stabbing of three girls, Alice da Silva Aguiar, Bebe King and Elsie Dot Stancombe, in the town on July 29.
Following the attack, incidents of violent disorder took place across towns and cities across the UK.

Detective Chief Inspector Tony Roberts of Merseyside Police said: “These three men who have been jailed today played their part in the despicable scenes we all witnessed in Southport and Liverpool city centre.
“We continue to identify more and more people who attended the disorder in Merseyside and we will not stop until we’ve put everyone we possibly can before the courts.”
