An Oldham hotel is set to undergo major changes, including the demolition of a restaurant to be replaced with more rooms.
The Premier Inn on Chadderton Way will see a major revamp after a planning application submitted to Oldham Council was approved.
It means that the single-storey restaurant, which is named the Clayton Green and is currently occupied by a branch of Brewers Fayre, will be demolished to make way for a two-storey building with 35 new rooms.
In the main hotel building, a total of five bedrooms will make way for the new restaurant area and showers.
In total, the development will see the number of rooms at the Premier Inn increase from 58 to 88.

The plans were submitted at the end of June and, according to a cover letter, were proposed after Premier Inn "identified a demand" for more budget hotel accommodation in the area.
The existing single-storey restaurant, which is separate to the main hotel building, serves as a large restaurant and also has a bar.
However, this will now be demolished and replaced with a two-storey structure, with 17 rooms on the ground floor and 18 on the first floor.
According to an application report prepared by an Oldham Council planning officer, the new building will "reflect the style of the existing hotel building".

Meanwhile, the only alterations to the main hotel building will see five bedrooms removed, with a new restaurant area, where guests can have breakfast, replacing four of the rooms.
The fifth bedroom will see larger bathrooms installed, each serving a room adjacent to it.
In the application report, the plans were recommended for approval on the grounds the development would help to meet the demand for more overnight accommodation, while also benefitting both businesses and leisure markets.
The plans were formally approved on behalf of the council on Thursday, September 12.
