Film crews spotted at Tandle Hill Park for After the Flood

After the Flood first aired in January and February last year, starring Sophie Rundle, best known for her role as Ada Shelby in Peaky Blinders.

When we went to check out the site on Monday afternoon, we spotted some signs of filming, including lighting equipment just downhill from the car park and cafe.

While we have no indication yet what viewers can expect from season two, we got the impression that the scene is set for an exciting night shoot.

With the park’s hilly terrain, winding paths and vast expanse of trees still bare from winter, Tandle Hill makes for an ideal filming location. 

Lights in place for filming ITV's After the Flood at Tandle Hill Country Park in Oldham. (Image: The Oldham Times) What’s more, Oldham Council issued a notice last week about the closures with a warning that fire effects and quad bikes would be used in the shoot. 

They added that this would be "carefully managed with security in place".

Signs have been put up at park entrances to warn people of the closures and there are security personnel guarding equipment. 

The car park at Tandle Hill is closed all day, and the park itself will be closed from 5pm to 2am on Tuesday, March 25.

Starring alongside Sophie Rundle was Nicholas Gleaves, Lorraine Ashbourne and Philip Glenister.

The six-part series was praised for its portrayal of the real-life effects that climate change can have on communities.
