The owner of a restaurant in Saddleworth has announced the eatery will be closing after 20 years, describing it as a "difficult decision".
Charles Brierley, owner of Dinnerstone in Uppermill, shared a statement on the restaurant's Facebook page on Sunday (January 4).
Dinnerstone opened in 2006 but will now be closing its doors for good.
In the statement, Mr Brierley, who also owns The White Hart at Lygate, said: "20 years ago, in 2006, I opened Dinnerstone.
"Today, it is with sadness that I am making the difficult decision to close the restaurant."

Mr Brierley added: "Not all good things come to an end, but unfortunately my time operating Dinnerstone has.
"However that leaves an opportunity for someone else, who knows what the future holds."
Dozens of people expressed their disappointment at the news on Facebook, with one person writing: "What sad news. Loved this place. Had some wonderful meals there and the staff were so lovely many of them became friends. Good luck to all of you."
Another said: "Very sad to read this, love this place and the staff."
A third commented: "Had a lovely meal there before Christmas. Sad to hear you are closing. Best of luck to all the staff moving forward."

In the post, Mr Brierley thanked staff for their "professionalism and hard work" which had helped Dinnerstone achieve the third highest ranking of Oldham restaurants on TripAdvisor.
Customers with vouchers and deposits have been told that they can still be redeemed at the White Hart, where "many" of the staff at Dinnerstone will work moving forward.
Mr Brierley also said all suppliers would be paid in full as the parent company had not gone into liquidation, adding all "fiscal responsibilities" will be met.
