Three masked men armed with swords reportedly entered an Oldham home and threatened a man and boy with swords while demanding money.
The 'frightening' incident saw the men, who police say were all dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered, enter a home through the back door on Birch Avenue, Hollinwood, in the early evening last week (Monday, January 26).
Inside the home, the men reportedly made threats using swords and demanded money.
The police said that two of the men had swords, and one had a sledgehammer.
The men fled the scene with around £90, and a man, who was in the house with a 12-year-old boy, suffered superficial injuries.

Greater Manchester Police has launched an investigation and is asking for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Anna Pun, of Oldham CID, said: “This was a frightening incident, and we are hoping, given the time of day, that someone may have seen something to help us catch the perpetrators.
"The three men were all wearing dark clothing with their hoods up, black face coverings, and all wearing gloves.
"Two were carrying swords, and one had a sledgehammer.
“We have carried out extensive enquiries in the area and are now appealing to any members of the public who might have any information about this incident.
“We are still investigating a possible motive for this incident and believe it might have been a case of mistaken identity.”
The police force said that anyone with information should call 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting log 3077 of 26/01/26.
The force also directed people towards online reporting tools.
